Samenvatting
Simulations of lattice QCD including two degenerate light flavours (up, down) and a non-degenerate quark pair (strange, charm) are currently being performed by the European Twisted Mass (ETM) Collaboration. The inclusion of nf = 2+1+1 flavours is an important step in order to move towards a fully realistic situation.

We (the applicants), have played a major role in this collaborative effort, and many intermediate results have been published and presented at major conferences. However, this work is not yet complete.

Dedicated simulations are required to perform the non-perturbative renormalization of operators in a mass-independent scheme. We have already validated the method of calculation and preliminary results have been presented.

The computer time we request for this PILOT is intended to allow us to verify the full program chain on Huygens, anticipating a full request to compute all the required ensembles and renormalization constants at beta=1.90.
