Suspension Integrated Programmes
Due to shifting policy priorities in The Netherlands, the WOTRO budget for research funding has only partly materialized. As a consequence, WOTRO has to substantially reduce its subsidy activities. And for that reason, WOTRO has unfortunately decided to discontinue the Integrated Programmes scheme for the time being. The current call for proposals and awarded programmes will be continued, but there will be no new call for proposals.

WOTRO works on new funding opportunities
The suspension of the Integrated Programmes subsidy scheme is unfortunate. However, the WOTRO board is dedicated to optimally realise the strategy under the current circumstances. WOTRO actively seeks for new funding opportunities for research on global issues. We are developing new programmes and we are working with new partners for research financing. Read more...

Research communication – What we can do for each other
Research must be communicated in a suitable form to bring about change in the lives of people. Also, it is important that researchers and funding agencies show what the results are of research which is funded with public money.

WOTRO will put extra efforts into showing the impact of research on development issues. But we need you to help us in this endeavour. Is your (former) research funded by WOTRO and does it have a clear development impact? Don’t wait! Tell us about your results and let’s discuss some interesting ways to communicate. Please contact Marije Severs via m.severs@nwo.nl or 0031(0) 70 349 43 53.
