Honorary doctorate for WOTRO board member Mark van Loosdrecht

Professor Mark van Loosdrecht was awarded an honorary doctorate at the "Dies Academicus" of ETH Zurich. He was awarded 'for his significant contributions in the sphere of applied sciences in biotechnology and his numerous large-scale translations of the latest scientific findings into resource-conserving technologies, especially in the field of wastewater treatment.' Van Loosdrecht is Professor for Applied Sciences in the Department of Environmental Biotechnology at Delft University of Technology, Netherlands. He joint the WOTRO board in January 2007.
