Pre-announcement second call Health Policy and Systems

The second call for proposals in the Global Health Policy and Health Systems Research programme will be launched before the end of November. The deadline for submission or preliminary proposals will be 8 March 2011.

This second call will focus on health policy research and will emphasize topics such as leadership and governance, as well as MDG5: improving maternal health. Funding will be available for high-quality knowledge translation activities and multidisciplinary research. Applying coalitions are encouraged to include activities that prepare for networking activities and for embedding the research coalition within global, north-south and south-south structures.

In this second call, initiatives from researchers from low-income countries (LICs) in collaboration with Dutch partners (i.e. based in the Netherlands) are highly welcome and LIC researchers may act as main applicant.
