Professor E. Bulte new member WOTRO Board

Professor Erwin Bulte joined the WOTRO board on 1 September 2009. Erwin Bulte gained his doctorate in environmental economics in 1997 from Wageningen University and Research Centre and the Netherlands Network of Economics (NAKE). Since 2005 he has been Professor of Environmental and Natural Resource Economics at Tilburg University. One year later he was also appointed as Professor of Development Economics at Wageningen University and Research Centre.

Furthermore, he is senior advisor for the Agricultural and Development Economics Division (ESA) of the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), senior research fellow at Cambridge University and a board member of the Centre for World Food Studies of VU University Amsterdam.

In 2004 Erwin Bulte received an NWO-VIDI grant and the work funded by this lead to various publications in the area of natural resources, endogenous institutions and economic growth.
