Call for Participation & Travel Grants Matchmaking CoCooN

Within the framework of the CoCooN Programme - Conflict and Cooperation over Natural Resources in Developing Countries -, the Directorate General of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) will organise matchmaking workshops in Africa, Asia and South America:

  • 15-16 September 2009 – Addis Ababa: for Africa and the Middle East
  • 22-23 September 2009 – Bogota: for South and Central America
  • 29-30 September 2009 – Hanoi: for Asia and Eastern Europe

The meetings will offer opportunities for researchers and non-researchers from the South and North to substantiate and enlarge their networks, to enhance the establishment of consortia and to initiate the formulation of an Integrated Project (IP) for the CoCooN programme.

There will be a limited budget for travel grants available to participate in the workshop. The travel grant will amount to a maximum of € 2.000 / person, including economy class air fair, visa costs and local travel costs.

Applicants interested in establishing or joining an IP-CoCooN consortium are invited to express their interest for one of the matchmaking meetings through this call for Participation and Travel Grants. The deadline for applications is August 5, 12.00 hrs Central European Time (CET).
