Opening Event for ‘Responsible Innovation’

28 April 2008

On 5 June the research programme ‘Responsible Innovation’ will be officially opened. This programme is aimed at proactive research into ethical and societal aspects of technological developments. It is explicitly not only limited to Dutch innovation but aimed at technological innovation processes in other countries or parts of the world, particularly in developing countries. Close cooperation between a multidisciplinary team of researchers is crucial in this programme.

Opening Event
In the morning the official opening of this programme will take place in the Nutshuis in The Hague. In the afternoon, scientists will have the opportunity to meet researchers from other disciplines and to gather information. This is to encourage researchers to submit multidisciplinary research proposals for grants. Attendants can also ask questions about this call for proposals, the programme itself and the research agenda. Please register for the morning and/or afternoon programme by completing the registration form on the website www.nwo.nl/mvi. A programme of the opening event can also be found on the website. Registration occurs on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

Call for Proposals
The Call for Proposals and the programme description will be published on the website at the end of April. The deadline for submitting pre-proposals is 2 September 2008.
