Four new Integrated Programmes awarded

With the total amount of 2,500,000 EURO the WOTRO board awarded four Integrated Programmes in 2007. Two combining the themes “Poverty and Hunger” and “Sustainable Environment”, one within the “Health Systems” theme and one in the open category.

In the 2007 call for proposals for the Integrated Programmes scheme, 26 preliminary proposals were submitted. Eight applicants were invited to work their pre-proposal into a full proposal during a workshop with their research partners. Following peer review and the advice of the Societal Panel, the Scientific Advisory Committee recommended awarding four proposals and the WOTRO Board decided accordingly.
