Policy Advisory Committee

13 april 2007

Recently, a new Policy Advisory Committee (PAC) has been established. The primary task of the PAC is to advise the board of WOTRO on its strategic policy and in particular on the approach to encourage the (societal) impact of research financed by WOTRO. The PAC consists of 13 members: scientists and professional experts from the development cooperation sector (private, governmental and/or non-governmental) from both the Netherlands and from developing countries. Given the problem-oriented and broad nature of the WOTRO themes (Poverty and Hunger, Global Health & Health Systems, Sustainable Environment and Global Relationships), the PAC comprises acknowledged experts from a wide range of areas of expertise, covering the four themes. In addition to providing advice on issues in their own field of expertise, every member is encouraged to participate in all the discussions and to provide input beyond the boundaries of their own specific discipline. Information on the PAC members can be found on the WOTRO website.
