In the first subsidy round of 2006, the WOTRO Board received eight proposals. As recommended by the Capacity Development Grants committee, the Board decided to award four projects. In the second subsidy round of 2006 the WOTRO board awarded four Travel grants.
First subsidy round 2006:
Partnership grants:
- Radiation
and isotopes for health of people, in particular infants, living below the
poverty line in Brazil
- Adaptive Management of Biodiversity by Smallholder Farmers: a challenging theme for a Philippine-based, long-term Asian-European research and education programme
Travel grants
- Rattan exploitation in a comparative perspective (Travel Grant for Dr Louis Defo, Cameroon)
- Travel Grant for Dr Antoine Socpa to work in Dutch libraries and prepare
two publications
